The organization was formed and chartered as a nonprofit organization in Louisville Kentucky. President George Parker filed the request for incorporation in the latter part of 1949. The IAAI received its charter on 4 December 1951. The IAAI has a major role and influence in the fire investigation community in the United States of America where it certifies qualified fire investigators. It has developed with the dominant influence from within the Fire and Police Services and other Government agencies. |
